From 10 am to 4 pm – tomorrow – the Ballarat Design Exchange Market – 1 June 2014, 8a Lydiard Street North, Ballarat………….
Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been designing and creating a range of lovely winter ladies wear items. They are part of my “Quirkies” range. Each piece is individually designed, never to be repeated and individually numbered.
A gorgeous combination of eco dyed fabrics and pure woollens, soft wool jerseys and lovely heavier weight wools. “One off” pieces, so special that there really is only one or, if you’re lucky, one in a couple of different sizes. You’ll have to come see these for yourself as there’s no time for a photo shoot before tomorrow.
Here are some fabulous suggestions for Mothers’ Day gifts:-
Obviously you would like to give Mummy something really special, that’s why something from goomo is ideal! A hand made gift! An Australian made gift. I’ve been really busy this week, thinking of my Mum, and making things that would delight your Mum too…………
There’s my unbelievable hand dyed, Australian Merino fingerless mittens, you can see a pic of these in my previous post.
How about these new fingerless mittens? Made especially for this weekend, same gorgeous style, so lovely to wear, boiled wool, lush chocolate in colour and finished with luxurious alpaca shell crochet edging.
There’s also goomo’s famous hand dyed socks. The traditional terry lined, Merino wool blend, are so warm and so popular. So popular indeed that a new addition has been added to my range. And a fresh batch has been dyed up especially for the Pop Up Collective, Ballarat Heritage Weekend Market, this weekend – 10 & 11 May 2014. Visit the Mechanics’ Institute, 117 Sturt Street, Ballarat either Saturday or Sunday. 10 am – 5 pm.

With Mothers’ Day on Sunday, the Pop Up Collective Market, at the Mechanics’ Institute, 117 Sturt Street, Ballarat is the perfect place for purchasing a unique and handcrafted gift.
A fresh batch of my magnificent Australian Merino Fingerless mittens will be available. Each one is hand made by me and individually hand dyed. Plants and metals are used exclusively for the dyeing process, Australian plants are my focus.
What a sweet combination: Australian Merino, Australian made and naturally dyed with Australian plants.
